Okay, the good news: all the players eventually got registered, the weather is beautiful, and the ice is much, much better than last year. The first game if the day was the over 30 team versus Tyrenena Brewing. We got a heads up last night at the hotel that this might be a good team. They made the semifinals last year, so we were prepared for a challenge. The game got underway, and after some back and forth, with neither team finding the net, the Holes scored. We enjoyed a brief moment if being ahead before the other team tied it up. It was very close until about five minutes before the half, when they got us back on our heels, and scored several in succession.
The second half, we played very well, but were not able to make up any ground on the other team. The final score was 9-4 (I think). Now we're waiting for the over 40 team to take the ice against Sure Wood. Read what you want to into that, but it's been rumored they may have a Viagra sponsorship.
